Our Company:

Out of the Woods was founded in 1999 with the purchase of a sawmill. We manufacture fine quality, kiln dried, hardwood lumber which is highly figured. Our primary harvest is Tanoak, a tree whose limited range includes the Santa Cruz Mountains. This wood is being recovered and utilized to its highest potential from certified, managed properties.

Our mission is to conscientiously recover a natural resource, utilize this resource to produce the best product possible, and provide our customers with the highest quality of service.
